Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!!!

I have plenty this year to be thankful for. I'm married to the love of my life, I got a precious gift from heaven (this year) who is healthy (a plus) ..and  sweet!!! I have a roof over my head with heat to escape the cold, I have a car that works, we have work to pay the bills and last but not least ( to the contrary) I have a heavenly father who loves me and adopted me where I can call him father!!! ..because he is my father!!! ..and he guides me with his rod and staff because he loves me more then I can imagine. He dug me out of a pit that I could have never gotten out of on my own! And now he gave me a sweet little family that I am so grateful for! He loves to give gifts to his children!

I'm sure you also have plenty to be thankful for other then having free land. :)

Wow! My last post declared an "I can't believe it ...I'm married!" Well now I say "I can't believe it ..my last blog post I've written was in January!" I will make this short for now for all you faithful post watchers that haven't given up on me yet. :)  So, I sit here while I watch my sweet gift (truly from Heaven) graciously sleep. She is so beautiful and I thank God often for her and for my awesome husband!!! He and she was well worth the wait ...for all those single years and painful contractions! But, I wanted to let you all know I haven't forgotten about you and I hope to start blogging again. I've learned a lot this year. And God my father (as always) has been continually faithful to keep me, feed me, and hold my hand and lead me. Adjusting to marriage, keeping a home, and now adjusting to being a mama (and what all that entails) I have been busy and out of touch with my blog writing. But now that adjusting seems to come more naturally I think I can add another thing to my list and begin writing again. :) I love to anyway.  It's getting late so I'll close this for now but I hope to be back soon and give you a real update from back when up to now. Love you all and we'll see you soon. Oh yes, and I'll start posting pictures again. :)

..be back soon!

We need to stamp this truth on our hearts!

“The one concern of the devil is to keep Christians from praying.  He fears nothing from prayerless studies, prayerless work and prayerless religion.  He laughs at our toil, mocks at our wisdom, but trembles when we pray.”

...This is so true and I have witnessed it multiple times first hand!!! God can move and has moved mountains in my (..or your) prayers.

Love you all!

Because of Him,
                     ~Jessica

Announcing...

I'm happy to say I am now re-engaged!!! "Many waters cannot quench love" runs so true in my "love story"!  God has been soooo good to me!!!!!!  ...I'm going to be Jessica Roose on Dec 28th!!!!!!!!
Thank you all for all your prayers and support in my life! God has heard them and I want to shout it on every mountain top!

Food for thought..

Why did Jesus calm the storms?? Just to show us he can? or to show us he can calm any storm in our life now and ALWAYS? I believe the latter is why.

I heard something recently that I believe is a "revelation and a half" from God! When we give into fears were just putting faith into the lies of the devil. We may feel giving into fears will help us be able to prepare for the worst. LIE!!! Were to have our eyes fixed on Jesus in daily trusting and daily giving thanks in all things!! And the time we need extra amounts of grace then God will supply it. Not because we're ready for it but because He is!! In our selves we can do nothing (Even as Christ admitted) but we can do all things in Christ who strengthens us!!

These truths inspire me to no end!!! Gods truth truly sets free!

..just another update!

Wow! I'm just realizing how much time has passed since my last update ..a whole month and some!
Well, days have been flyyying by in my busy little life!! We're in Sept already!! ..Just climbing to my 30th bday! 30th!! I remember wondering if the lord would come back before then!! I sit here with a stuffy head and congested sinuses going through tissue after tissue. A perfect time for another blog update. :)

Well, my life in a nut shell has been work, fellowship, work, fellowship, work, and so on!!! :) It's not really quite that boring there's always a new story after crazy story to tell (you know me). I've also been enjoying meeting new visitors and catching up with old ones. Camping out for the weekend at camp meeting has been sweet as well!
Listening to peoples testimonies and hearts makes me realize what a BIG God we all serve! ..and what priceless jewels he's given us to glean from one another. I can never cease to forget all the blessings God has sent my way this year. His Spirit, truth, a heart that loves Him, my sweet brothers and sisters in Him, my family (restored relation ships!!!) He's provided work (in a good atmosphere ..always a plus!), provided me a home with an older Godly women to help along side with me to fight the good fight, provision else where, etc!!!

I've been learning these days to rest beside Jesus on the boat in the storms of life. I'm also learning spiritual lessons from where I work at the Insurance agency (endurance, excelling, forced to get out of my comfort zone and do hard things). Through the endurance, pressing on, and not giving up I am able to benefit  from reaping what's sewn! I see this as school from my Heavenly Father! Really, I'm sure were able to see that were all in Gods school. ..perfecting us to reflect his own image! Wow! What a joy! I believe that's why Paul said, "My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;"  because the work of becoming like him is beyond words can express "JOYFUL"!!!

Ok, gotta get to bed so I can beat this thing! I should be well soon considering having Juice Plus, garlic cloves, green drink, and Vit C all today!

..night! :)

He wants to give us good and perfect gifts that last!

He longs for us to know HIS joy so that our joy will be full.

Deceitful lusts promise "happiness" but their shallow sweetness quickly evaporates into empty bitterness. Through partaking of the "divine nature" we experience "loving life and seeing good days."

We discover "it is MORE BLESSED to give than to receive." We also taste the kindness of THE Lord and experience THE DELIGHT of doing His will.

The deceitfulness of sin draws us away and entices us to run after VANITIES. Vanities have a surface value but will always result in the same end Solomon discovered - meaningless. Why not "be led into ALL TRUTH" - and experience ALL TRUE LOVE, JOY, and PEACE.

Deceitful lusts feel good in the beginning but end in corruption, bondage, and death. Jesus came "that we might have ABUNDANT LIFE "- through His TRUE PASSIONS. The devil comes to "steal, kill, and destroy" through "deceitful lusts" that corrupt us by leading us away from "every GOOD and PERFECT gift that comes from the Father of light" in whom there is NO DARKNESS. Don't be robbed by deceitful lusts - Flee them!   ~anonymous

So true!

I read this and really thought it was good so I wanted to share it. The awesome thing about it is that the good news Jesus came to proclaim is that he came to set the captives free. He won the victory! We don't need to be captive any more to our Adam nature but we can put on Christ! Praise God!!! His promises are so sweet to us! "Father" I pray, help us!

Is it any wonder that many of us take one step forward and two steps back? Attempting to please the Lord and provide an occasional "snack" for the flesh might be the reason for the struggle we have with a double mind the instability of our walk.

If we are confused and our life is up and down, maybe it is worth our time to evaluate our "sowing" habits.

Is it possible we're missing the connection between the little "snacks" we sow to the flesh and the difficulties that sprout from those indulgences? When we provide a snack of sensuality, do we recognize the correlation with the battle we will face as a result? Snacks for the flesh strengthen the old man we face as an enemy! We might make it harder on ourselves. ~anonymous

lessons of life

So, today I go to work wondering what challenges I'll face. I've been at the Insurance Agency for about 3 1/2 months now and I've just scratched the surface (I feel). My boss assured me that I don't have to worry and just to think of it as going through labor pains ..comforting huh! Every time we learn new things it takes much practice, exercise, patience, endurance, and well growing pains if we want to really be good at it, that is.!  It's very good how The Lord allows these physical things in life to bleed out in other areas where we can become more like Him. I am privileged and very thankful to have this job in this season of my life. God is so good to me! His rod n staff truly is a comfort! ..And His work papers and homework in this "school of life" is as well!

Christ presents you a cross and He never promises it will be easy — but He promises it will be worth it. ~Voscamp   ...sooo worth it (I added)

This morning I get this phone call, the voice sounded calm and somber "My daughter was killed this morning in an a car accident. I wanted to know what to do with my insurance, this is a valley for me". I didn't expect to get such a phone call. ..was killed this morning??  Life is so quick, so short! ..alive then gone in an instant! She was so young! The pain! Oh, help me Father to be Jesus hands, feet, tongue, ears, eyes, and heart in the office (I pray).
I told him I will pray for him and the family. I was thankful I didn't try to just sound professional (like I try to at times) and had my mind focused on the busy ways of life but that God allowed me to be ready 'in season or out' to give words of comfort on the other line. Another young women (in her 20's) was killed in a car accident last week! Life is so fleeting, were gone in an instant, like a vapor (the Bible say's)!

Lets store up treasures in Heaven where moths can't eat it, robbers can't steal it, crashes can't wreck it, death can't kill it!

He says to those who want life...

55 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

good quotes...

It’s habits that can imprison you and it’s habits that can free you and when thanks to God becomes a habit, so joy in God becomes your life. ~Voscamp

If I never cease working on the habit of good food, good exercise, good time management — why ever lessen the habit of our grateful thanks to a good God? ~Voscamp

These sayings can be true only when our hope is in Him (not ourselves) where we can have rivers of life flow out of us in all these promises of God!

Amen! Be glorified in me!

Father, Let Me Dedicate

Father, let me dedicate, all this year to Thee,
In whatever worldly state Thou wilt have me be:
Not from sorrow, pain or care, freedom dare I claim;
This alone shall be my prayer, glorify Thy Name.

Be glorified in me!

Can a child presume to choose where or how to live?
Can a Father’s love refuse all the best to give?
More Thou givest every day than the best can claim
Nor withholdest aught that may glorify Thy Name.

Be glorified in me!

If in mercy Thou wilt spare joys that yet are mine;
If on life, serene and fair, brighter rays may shine;
Let my glad heart, while it sings, Thee in all proclaim,
And, whate’er the future brings, glorify Thy Name.

Be glorified in me!

If Thou callest to the cross, and its shadow come,
Turning all my gain to loss, shrouding heart and home;
Let me think how Thy dear Son to His glory came,
And in deepest woe pray on, “Glorify Thy Name.”

be glorified in me! Be glorified! Be glorified in me!

In tribute to My perfect Savior!

Here I sit this morning in amazement ...I have My Savior, My Mountain mover, My peace giver, My hand holder (in the hard times), My perfect councilor, and My most LOVING and MERCIFUL God. His love baffles me! ..saying it is one thing but experiencing it is a complete other! It's the difference between night and day. I can only but fall more in love with Him! When I think he's done enough he does more ..so much more! When I think mercy for me should be almost ran out by now then he showers me with more (His mercies are new every morning!). That is what I want now! I want to give and give yet give till there's no more left! When a baby is born he needs and needs and depends on his parents but then when he matures he learns to give and give and become a parent. As I look around I don't have to look further then "me" or even my friends to see needs! We all need Jesus and his overcoming power. You can pray for me that I can come more to the place of "giving"! God is so good to me ...so good! He gives me power to WILL and DO His good pleasure!

Have a blessed day everyone!
Love you all!!

Because of His mercies,

Men ought always to pray..

This encouragement came in as an email to me so I just had to share it. It blessed me so much and it is sooo true! I praise God that it came as an answer to prayer! :)
Sorry It's long but I couldn't have said it any better!

And the Lord said, "Men ought always to pray, and not to faint...

There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge His own elect, which cry day and night unto Him, though He bear long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?"
 (Luke 18:1-8)

Of all the mysteries of the prayer world the need of persevering prayer is one of the greatest. That the Lord, who is so loving and longing to bless, should have to be asked, time after time, sometimes year after year, before the answer comes, we cannot easily understand. It is also one of the greatest practical difficulties in the exercise of believing prayer. When, after persevering pleading, our prayer remains unanswered, it is often easiest for our lazy flesh, and it has all the appearance of pious submission, to think that we must now cease praying, because God may have His secret reason for withholding His answer to our request. It is by faith alone that the difficulty is overcome. When once faith has taken its stand on God's word and the Name of Jesus, and has yielded itself to the leading of the Spirit to seek God's will and honor alone in its prayer, it need not be discouraged by delay. It knows from Scripture that the power of believing prayer is simply irresistible; real faith can never be disappointed. It knows that just as water, to exercise the irresistible power it can have, must be gathered up and accumulated until the stream can come down in full force, so there must often be a heaping up of prayer until God sees that the measure is full, when the answer comes. It knows that just as the peasant farmer has to take his ten thousand steps to sow his tens of thousands seeds, each one a part of the preparation for the final harvest, so there is a need for often repeated persevering prayer, all working out some desired blessing. It knows for certain that not a single believing prayer can fail of its effect in heaven, but has its influence, and is treasured up to work out an answer in due time to him who perseveres to the end. It knows that it has to do, not with human thoughts or possibilities, but with the word of the living God. And so, even as Abraham through so many years
"who against hope believed in hope" (Romans 4:18), and then "followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises." (Hebrews 6:12)

To enable us, when the answer to our prayer does not come at once, to combine quiet patience and joyful confidence in our persevering prayer, we must especially try to understand the words in which our Lord sets forth the character and conduct, not of the unjust judge, but of our God and Father, toward those whom He allows to cry day and night to Him:
"I tell you that He will avenge them speedily." (Luke 18:8)

He will avenge them quickly, the Master says. The blessing is all prepared; He is not only willing, but most anxious, to give them what they ask; everlasting love burns with the longing desire to reveal itself fully to its beloved and to satisfy their needs. God will not delay one moment longer than is absolutely necessary; He will do all in His power to expedite and rush the answer.

But why, if this is true and His power is infinite, does it often take so long for the answer to prayer to come? And why must God's own elect so often, in the middle of suffering and conflict, cry day and night? He is waiting patiently while He listens to them.
"Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain." (James 5:7) The farmer does, indeed, long for his harvest, but knows that it must have its full amount of sunshine and rain, and he has long patience. A child so often wants to pick the half-ripe fruit; the farmer knows how to wait until the proper time. Man, in his spiritual nature too, is under the law of gradual growth that reigns in all created life. It is only in the path of development that he can reach his divine destiny. And it is the Father, in whose hand are the times and seasons, who knows the moment when the soul or the Church is ripened to that fullness of faith in which it can really take and keep the blessing. Like a father who longs to have his only child home from school, and yet waits patiently until the time of training is completed, so it is with God and His children: He is the patient One, and answers quickly.

Our great danger, in this school of the answer delayed, is the temptation to think that, after all, it may not be God's will to give us what we ask. If our prayer be according to God's word, and under the leading of the Spirit, let us not give way to these fears. Let us learn to give God time. God needs time with us. If only we give Him time, that is, time in the daily fellowship with Himself, for Him to exercise the full influence of His presence on us, and time, day by day, in the course of our being kept waiting, for faith to prove its reality and to fill our whole being, He Himself will lead us from faith to vision; we shall see the glory of God. Let no delay shake our faith. Of faith it holds good: first the blade, then the ear, then the full corn in the ear. Each believing prayer brings a step nearer the final victory. Each believing prayer helps to ripen the fruit and bring us nearer to it; it fills up the measure of prayer and faith known to God alone; it conquers the hindrances in the unseen world; it hastens the end. Child of God, give the Father time. He is patiently listening to you. He wants the blessing to be rich, and full, and sure; give Him time, while you cry day and night. Only remember the word:
"I tell you that He will avenge them speedily." (Luke 18:8)

Let it be thus whether you pray for yourself or for others. All labor, bodily or mental, needs time and effort: we must give up ourselves up to it. Nature discovers her secrets and yields her treasures only to diligent and thoughtful labor. However little we can understand it, in the spiritual farming it is the same: the seed we sow in the soil of heaven, the efforts we put forth, and the influence we seek to exert in the world above, need our whole being: we must give ourselves to prayer. But let us hold firm the great confidence that in due season we will reap if we don't give up.

And let us especially learn the lesson as we pray for the Christ's Church. She is, indeed, like the poor widow, in the absence of her Lord, apparently at the mercy of her adversary, helpless to obtain restitution. Let us, when we pray for His Church or any portion of it, under the power of the world, asking Him to visit her with the mighty workings of His Spirit and to prepare her for His coming-- let us pray in the assured faith: prayer does help, praying always and not stopping will bring the answer. Only give God time. And then keep crying out day and night.
"And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge His own elect, which cry day and night unto Him, though He bear long with them?"(Luke 18:6-7)

You set me free...

Where can I go when my life weighs me down
I turn to you; your mercies are new
every morning
You hold my whole life in your hands

Where can I run when my hearts going
to break
I run to you; I know yours is
already broken
With a love that can lift my head

You are my God and I am your child
Teach me to praise you
You are my King and my life is yours
Teach me to serve you

Jesus, you set me free
And your blood washes me
And now I'm here to MEET
The One who I worship

What can I do with this gift I've been given
I look to you; I pick up my cross and follow
And I'll follow you to the END!

Shake well! ..seperation is natural

I was given a Revelation the other day I wanted to share. As I was in deep thought I peered over to my fruit smoothie ..then I saw it!! God has been showing me lately how much we all need each other. It is so natural for us to separate our selves from one another and think we got it all figured out. Natural for the seed of Adam, yes but Jesus' seed in the natural will bring only unity, peace, joy, love, long suffering, faith, kindness, etc! The enemy knows how unity brings healing so of course his tactics are to bring in the little foxes to spoil the vine, bring division, destruction, then conquer, but praise God! ..he says, "to catch the 'little' foxes that try to spoil the vine." Jesus conquered all things!!! He did it on the cross (even death)! A Mighty God (indeed) we serve!!!

Just as the different kinds of fruit with all it's nutrients and vitamins can bring nutrition to the one who consumes it so can all our gifts bring glory to God and healing to the one who embraces it! Our human bodies are designed to heal itself. While we mend and blend we can reap all the health benefits for our souls!
I will not say, "antioxidants, I don't need you!"

He said, "This is how they will know you are Christians, by your love one for another."

Gaurd Against Division

Gaurd Against Division

We are all a puddle of mess!

We are all a puddle of mess! He said, "And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, and I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live."
                                                                        Isaiah 16:6

"Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I swore unto thee, and entered into a COVENANT with thee, saith the Lord God and thou becamest MINE. Then washed I thee with water; yeah I THOROUGHLY washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.   (...nough said!!!)
                                                                     Isaiah 16:8-10

I realize we all need healed from this disease called SELF! We need to be healed of all of our "baggage". In our pasts we have been (or know someone who has been) hurt in one way or another. We fear that we'll get hurt again so we lock up and fall short of the work God so desires to do in us. ..to learn the secret of love! We are living in such a fallen world yet we have a Physician who knows we are but dust, a passing vapor that comes then is gone in a moment and He has formed us all in our mothers womb where in Psalms it says, "We were fearfully and wonderfully made!" He knew us before he formed us and knows how many hairs are on all our heads! These things are too unfathomable for me to wrap my tiny brain around. But as I have personally witnessed healing of the past in my own heart, I am now convinced He has power to heal anything! With Him all things are possible! ..and I will never settle for less! When I get sips of water, I will be thankful yes! but I will never settle for just sips because I know he desires to give me so much more (His ocean!!!) I remember one night after I was faced with an impossible situation, I was facing a mountain that only He could move, so I sighed then as I looked at his beautiful sky full of beauty (silver lined clouds) He spoke! He said, " Is anything too difficult for me!?" I agreed and said Amen! Yes, Lord Thy will be done! "Behold I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me? Jeremiah 32:27"

We don't need to settle for just enough strength to bite our tongues instead of lashing out. Or just love those who love us. Or keep away from doing the not so good things! Or keeping all the hurt stored inside and never showing it or be healed of it. Or settling for broken relationships. Or settling for idols in our lives He desires to remove. No!! and this is the victory that has overcome the world ...our FAITH!!!! "In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The Lord Our Righteousness (Jeremiah 33:16)." Where we can be a privileged people (blessed beyond measure) and we can reflect our Savior who has died for the world! Where we no longer have to be bound to our circumstances or past hurts but we can be free, free as the bird with the outstretched wings that glides where ever the wind blows.(Isaiah 40)

The "GOOD NEWS" is we don't have to live in our hurts anymore but we can be healed and helped with the help of His Spirit (the same help Jesus had when on earth) to overcome ALL obstacles! "As God hath said, I will dwell IN them, and walk IN them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. wherefore come out from among them , and be ye separate, saith the lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I WILL receive you, And WILL be a Father unto you, and ye SHALL be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord almighty. 2Corinthians 6:16"  I will do a new thing thus saith the Lord where I WILL put my law in their hearts. Amen! I'm experiencing these sweet freeing truths and I want to proclaim to anyone who is facing anything difficult, He said he HAS overcome the world and He so DESIRES to set the captives free! My life, I realize, is a continual walk of faith and freeing from captivity. A continual light to behold then to become. "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven"
Matthew 5:16. "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are CHANGED into the same image from glory to glory, even as the Spirit of the Lord. 2Corinthians 3:18" "

These are all treasures that He desires to give us and perform in us. I opened to this one day and it just confirmed to what the Lord was trying to show me, "And I will give thee the TREASURES of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou may know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel. Isaiah 45:3"  This also goes along, "That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their TREASURES. Proverbs 8:21" His heart is crying out for us to understand these plans he desires for us! ..To give us a future and a hope!   He is so good to us!!!

In Him there is all HOPE so lets grab on together and be a light in this dark world and heal all the diseases! We can then live this antidote out which is called LOVE and walk life in fulfilling Corinthians 13.

love you all! Because of him,
                                       ~Jessica
